These easy high-protein banana oat cookies are made with just 4 main ingredients, naturally sweetened with ripe bananas, and refined sugar-free. They’re perfect for an easy breakfast, snack, or meal-prep treat. Even my toddlers love them!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 3 very ripe bananas, mashed

  • ¼ cup nut butter of choice — peanut butter, almond butter, or tahini all work great

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder which is about ½ cup

  • Optional: dark chocolate chips

  • Optional: flaky sea salt for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.

  3. Add the nut butter and vanilla protein powder and mix until combined.

  4. Stir in the rolled oats until everything is evenly incorporated.

  5. Scoop the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and gently flatten into cookie shapes. These won’t spread much while baking.

  6. Top with dark chocolate chips and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt, if desired.

  7. Bake at 350°F for 12–15 minutes, or until the cookies are set and lightly golden.

  8. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tip: The riper your bananas, the sweeter the cookies will be without needing any added sugar.
